For those who would like to build their own Iya Valley tour itinerary, then we will work together with you to create a customized experience either based on any of our existing tours, or start from the ground up to make something truly unique.

Utilizing on our extensive knowledge of the Iya Valley, we can build a tour to include any specific locations or activities you prefer, including things not available in our other tours. We will then arrange everything together into an optimal route based on when and where you wish to start and end the tour. The possibilities are limitless, and can include any of the special points in the Iya Valley and Oboke areas.

We can go to the world famous Nagoro Scarecrow Village, walk through historic Ochiai Village, go out to the tranquil Double Vine Bridges, visit the ancient Hashikura-Ji Temple, or to head various viewpoints including the Koboke Gorge Viewpoint or the Iyakei Gorge's unique Peeing Boy Statue. We can also mix together elements of multiple tours or even have a unique theme focussed on Iya's History, connecting with nature, or learning about Shintoism.

Or maybe you are looking for something not available in our other tours, such as the weird yet fun Yokai Monster Museum, or a mountain house wild-game BBQ, or a zip-line experience over the Iya River, or white water rafting through Oboke Gorge. If you have something specific in mind, just ask and we can help make it happen!

* 3 people in a Standard Taxi is only recommended if 3rd person is a child or you are 3 small adults.

Details About Custom Tours
- This is a Flexible Route Tour and will be created based on your specific requests. We will work together to paln your itinerary.
- Available all year, but some locations are not available to visit in winter (Dec-March)
- This tour can start anytime.
- Pick-up and drop-off can be from any Iya Valley accommodation or JR Oboke Station or pretty much anywhere in Shikoku (however, due to license regulations, we can not both pick-up and drop-off outside of Tokushima Prefecture. So either the pick-up or drop-off point can be outside of Tokushima Prefecture (such as in Kochi, Ehime, or Kagawa Prefectures) but the other start/end point must be within Tokushima Prefecture.
- If stopping for lunch, please pay your guide's meal fee (usually about ¥900-1500)
- There are several local restaurant options possible for lunch and we will explain when you contact what is available. We can also arrange special meal requests if interested in something specific.
- Most entrance fees in the Iya Valley for the guide are included, but some points outside the area (such as the Oboke Boat Cruise or the Mt Tsurugi Chairlift) are separate and we please ask that you pay for the guide's entrance fee if necessary.
- On heavy rain days, we may need to alter the route, particularly wth walking parts. We will adjust things as neccessary to give an optimim experience and provided umbrellas if requested.
