Our Tours

A special place full of possibilities

A variety of options

We offer a range of tours in several styles depending on the way you would like to travel.

One Day Guided Tours

Our guided day tours are probably the best way to explore and encounter the Iya Valley. We offer a range of guided tours and activities, and each comes with a private car and driver, as well as a skilled English speaking local guide who will take you on in-depth walks and explain every facet of Iya life. We also offer customized tours based on your own specific needs or interests.

Multi-Day Tours

Are you planning to stay a night or two in the Iya Valley? Good idea! We can set up  our tours to cover two or three days, including half days, allowing for more options and possibilities. We can also arrange the transportation between your accomodation and the train station so you don't ever need to worry about getting around.
Though we do not usually make reservations for accomodations, we know all the places to stay in Iya and can arrange your tour around wherever you have chosen to be based.

Guide Only Tours

Are you planning to have your own vehicle when visiting Iya? This can be a great way to explore the valley and its sights (as long as you are a confident driver on our often one-lane roads), and having one of our guides with you will not only help prevent you from getting lost, but they can take you places and explain things in a way you would not be able to do on your own.
Our guides can also be hired as interpretors for international journalists, academic researchers, and other foreign visitors.

Taxi Only Tours

Just looking to tour the valley without a guide, or only needing transportation to/from your hotel? Our partners at Kazurabashi Taxi Company can provide not only day tours with just a car/bus and driver, but also take you to/from just about any location in Shikoku (and beyond!). Though the drivers only speak a bit of English, they always do their best to accommodate every customer.

Tours for Larger Groups

For those traveling in a group of more than 8 people, it will probably be necessary to use a small bus. No problem! Our partners at Kazurabashi Taxi Company operate Iya's only charter bus service with a small fleet of buses which are regulated such that they can drive on Iya's narrow, one-laned roads (most buses from outside the area can not do this). We can also arrange group activities and meals, just let us know what you have in mind or ask us for recommendations.
